The County Buildings, Wigtown
Even on an overcast day like this the former County buildings with its flamboyant French gothic style of architecture is an impressive sight in the town square at Wigtown.  Built in 1862 it was the county buildings until 1973 after which it was not well maintained.  In the last few years it has been fully restored to its former glory and now houses a library and local Museum.
