The Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, South West Scotland
If you keep driving down the Rhins of Galloway you eventually run out of road. At that point you can't go any further south in Scotland, you are at the same latitude as Durham in Northern England. The lighthouse was built in 1828 and stands on cliffs some 260ft high, the foghorn can be seen lower down. In 1988 the lighthouse was automated and the outbuildings are now privately owned.
