The smaller ruin on the left is the ruins of an earlier Kirk called Killennan. It was dedicated to St Ninian and was built some time during 1502 and then rebuilt in 1534. Within the Auld Kirk lies the grave of the world renowned physicist, James Clerk Maxwell. Map location.
