Taken from the embankment at the Ore terminal just south of Fairlie. Fairlie streches along the coast on the right, furth up in the distance is Largs with Knock hill behind it. On the left is the Great Cumbrae. Before the Ore Terminal was built in the early 70's this area was all sand flats and when the tide was out it appeared like you could almost walk to the Cumbrae.
