The Pineapple, Airth

A close up view of the stone work of the Dunmore Pineapple. Built by John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore, some time after 1770 when he returned from being Governer of Virginia. Pineapples are apparantly popular as architectural decoration there. Map location.
