Looking out to Luce Bay from Port William

On the right hand side of the horizon the southern tip of the Mull of Galloway can be see. The small island near the centre is called Scares. Luce Bay is used by the RAF as a live firing range although the West Freugh base is now being run down. Much controversy was caused when it was found depleted uranium munitions have been used in recent years.
