HMS Dasher memorial garden, Ardrossan

This boat shaped flowerbed on the seafront at Ardrossan commemorates the 379 men who lost their lives on the 23rd of March 1943 when the light escort carrier HMS Dasher blew up and sank south of the wee Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde.
