Hunterston Construction Yard, 1988

A view inside the construction basin at Hunterston. At the time this photo was taken in 1988 the yard had been abandoned, the three largs circles you see are a witness to the last job which was the Gravity base/Oil storage structure for the Maureen Alpha platform in the North Sea. Maureen operated from 1979 until 1999. Map location.
