The Picardy Symbol Stone, Aberdeenshire

Beneath this Pictish stone are the remains of a burial cairn, probably dating from around 1400 years ago. Only a few Pictish stones mark burials. Picts carved distinctive symbols, the top symbol here is the double disk and Z-rod and below is the serpent and Z-rod. Map location.
