The Well, Dunmore Village

Dunmore is a very small planned village built by Catherine Herbert, widow of the 6th Earl of Dunmore to improving the housing for the estate workers. It has the appearance of an English style village green surrounded by the cottages. The cottages, a school and the well pictured here were all completed by 1879. Map location.
