Inside Eaglesham Parish Church

There has probably been a church here since the 5th or 6th century, the name Eaglesham derives from Eaglis, "The Church" and ham, "the small township". The present building was designed by Robert Maclachlane and completed in 1790 just as the new planned village of Eaglesham was being built.
