The Palace of Art, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow
Built for the 1938 Empire Exhibition as a display area for artwork. It is the only building left within the park from the huge 1938 exhibition. The 300ft Tait Tower on top of the Hill was supposed to remain but was demolished in 1939 as it was considered a landmark for German Bombers and also the fact that anti-aircraft gunns manned by the home guard were placed there.
