Sir Walter Scott's Grave, Dryburgh Abbey
Sir Walter Scott chose to be buried at the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey.  Scott was descended from two Borders families, the Scotts and the Haliburtons of Newmains.  The latter family owned the ruins at one time.  Sir Walter Scot, his wife and son are buried under the arch on the right.
