Glasgow Science Centre and the Glasgow Tower

The Glasgow Science Centre was opened in 2001 and is part of the regeneration of the former dock area of Glasgow. The tower has had a chequered short history with varies technical issues, it stands on a massive turntable and has an aerfoil shape that means it turns into the wind. At 127m it is the tallest free standing structure in Scotland.
