Built in 1857 it is the oldest surviving Music Hall in the UK, and maybe the World. It is very small, this view is looking up at the balcony which only had a few rows of seats. The audience here had a reputation for 'leaving no turn unstoned'. Some of the better know acts were Harry Lauder and the debut of a 16 year old Stan Laurel in 1906. This was the first venue in Glasgow to show moving pictures.
