M8 Motorway, Glasgow

During the 1960's large areas of Glasgow were laid aside for redevelopment, the city planners realsied that as a result it would be possible to drive a motorway almost through the centre of the city and over the Clyde. In 1970 the Kingston Bridge was opened completing the Glasgow part of the Motorway.
