Grand Battery Gun, Stirling Castle

This Gun appears to be pointing at the Wallace monument in the distance but the monument was built long after the gun battery. In 1746 this gun along with others from the Castle defeated Jacaobite artillery standing on Gowan Hill, where the present day Cemetery stands.
