Nissen Hut, Mellon Charles Boom Defence Depot
Taken in 2014 this is the last of the old Nissen huts still standing from the depot. Originally built to protect Loch Ewe with a Submarine net the site is no longer used by the MoD. The site was used as a base in the late 1980's during the removal of Anthrax from the nearby Island of Gruinard. [url=http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=184370&Y=891146&A=Y&Z=115/] Map location.
