Symington Parish Church

This Norman Church was founded in 1160 by Symon Loccard, a local landowner. It is thought the parish derived its orginal name of Symonstown from him. The original building consisted of only what you see in this photo with just one main section with a mud floor and people would have brought their own seating. Map location.
