Victoria Lodge, Talla Reservoir

This impressive Category B listed building sits at the North End of Talla Reservoir. It was built as the Headquarters of the Edinburgh and District Water Trust, the first stone being laid in 1897. 8 years later the Talla Reservoir was officially opened, it took the construction of a railway to bring some 100,000 tons of material to build the dam.
