The Abbey Bridge, Paisley

A view of Paisley Abbey and the town hall from the Abbey Bridge. The original Bridge dates from 1879 but was widened in 1933. Major work was again carried out in 2009 to return it to its Victorian splendour. The facias you see here was all re-cast using the originals as templates. The emblem in the centre is that of the old Paisley Corporation. Map location.
