Military Road, Glen Clunie

In an attempt to supress a Jacobite rising in the 18th century a series of Military roads were constructed throughout Scotland. General Wade gets credit for most of them but General Caulfield was actualy responsible for the greatest amount of construction, some 800 miles in total. This is one of his roads which leaves the path of the present day A93 at this bridge. Map location
