HMS Armadillo, Loch Long
During World War II this was the training area for the Royal Naval Commando.  The area in the trees where the car park is had numerous buildings which have since been removed.  The beach was used to train for beach assualt and the troops from here took part in every allied invasion from Dieppe to Normandy.
