The Villa, Linn Botanic Gardens, Cove

The Villa in Linn Gardens was built around 1860 when James Martin leased the land from the Duke of Argyll. The early garden was built on the land around this house. The architect was William Motherwell and with the encroaching greenery all around it has something of the feel of a hollywood horror movie.
