The Finnieston Crane

Glasgow's river front and docklands has undergone a dramatic change over the last 20 years. The SECC on the right was built to replace Kelvin Hall as Glasgow's main exhibition halls. The crane was built in 1932 and was used to lifting engines into ships and also to load heavy cargo such as steam locomotives that were built and exported ftom Glasgow at that time.
