Old Blacksmiths Shop, Gretna
One of Scotland's oldest visitor attractions. In 1886 the owner, Hugh Mackie, decided to open the cottage and workshop to visitors, no doubt because at that time it was on the main route across the border, today it is by-passed by the Motorway but that hasn't stopped Hugh Mackie's great Grandson from expanding the shop and continuing to sell Tartan dolls to unsuspecting visitors from England and further abroad.
