Loudoun Hill, East Ayrshire

Loudoun Hill near Darvel rises steeply to 316 metre giving a commanding 360 degree view. The Battle of Loudoun hill took place nearby in 1307 when Robert the Bruce defeated an English army of 3,000 with only around 600 men. Map location.
