Kelburn Castle, near Fairlie
There has been a castle here since around 1140, the original Norman Keep was enclosed within a newer castle built in 1581.  The oldest part is on the right hand side of the picture.  The Castle has been in the same family all that time and is today lived in by the 10th Earl of Glasgow.  In 1977 the estate was opened to the public as [url=http://www.kelburncastle.com/]Kelburn Country Centre.[/url]
